There are the outtakes we did for Austin fashion week. Our designer James Boone, from MyJamJam, brought in 4 dresses to choose from, and this silver workman number appeared to have a story built right it. We chose our model Lailani, Campbell Agency, Dallas, based on her androgynous look. Great bone structure and short boyish hair. During our first meeting with the crew, also including , stylist, Jenna Hollerbach and make-up and hair artist, Erica Gray we chose the dress, the model, and our concept. We found a garage, Tech One Automotive, which incidentally is out family garage and we love them! They said yes, and gave us a few hours in the shop to make our concept a reality. Lastly we had to find a car, we found a few inspirations shots that would be great under the hood of a car, not pin-up style... 4 Leaf Limo came through with flying colors, gorgeous! I'm very proud of the work we put together. I think of myself often as a closet fashion photographer ;)
I'd love to hear what you think, leave a comment to share your thoughts.
Thanks for looking.

I met the lovely Candice while shooting a style shoot last fall. I instantly fell in love with her; she has an infectious smile and she is always eager to help. She's wicked smart and I have a soft spot for redheads. I wanted to photograph her right away, and some people respond well to that and some people think I'm a fruit-cake. Luckily she's had a childhood fantasy about becoming a model. Perfect. I photographed her a while ago for fun, see those awesome portraits

Here are a few out takes from a shoot I did with Tribeza this year. Explore Austin is an incredible non-for profit that gives kids mentors starting around the 6th grade and following that group through their high school years where the kids are then accepted into great universities. This year was their first year of graduation seniors now these 3 move on to a new group of 6th graders. Lucky kids, all of them.

Tami -N- Austin married at the beautiful Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin, Tx. Both are UT alumni, current Chicago residents, and soon to be Los Angeles residents! Austin was the perfect choice for their intimate wedding. Tami chose classy old Hollywood details to polish her look: bright red lipstick, birdcage veil, tea-length wedding dress and creamy royal blue heels! Austin chose a purple suit, in case he ever decided to be the joker for Halloween, natch. The Hotel Saint Cecilia is Tami's favorite place in the whole world and she really wanted to give her guests an experience to remember. The evening started with the pair exchanging vows they'd written themselves. Next, the family was invited to have cocktails and enjoy games on and around the lawn while the couple and myself went to UT to shoot a few images. Dinner was expertly served by Whole Foods and then warm cookies and cool milk by Tiff's Treats. As it was getting late, they moved their little party into room 1 and started an impromptu dance party. Then it was time for a few more SHOTS! So, down to Doc's for a night cap. It was an absolutely amazing evening, and we were honored to be there.

Rachele and Tylere's unbelievably romantic wedding on the water. The couple scoped out this house (or should I say Castle) for sale while boating one day. They called the realtor and they booked the private home for the wedding of their dreams. It was lush and sexy, full of glamour; an extraordinary location for their wedding. The pair must have felt like royalty all day. Let this be a lesson to all brides-to-be, take your budget and pour it into the things that are most important for you. In R+T's case, I think it was decidedly the location and guess what?! it was outstanding.
